Japan
I was wandering through the vibrant chaos of Tokyo, capturing neon-lit streets and the endless rhythm of Shibuya, when the city gave way to serene bamboo forests and timeless temples. Riding the Shinkansen, I passed cherry blossoms framing Mount Fuji, before arriving in Kyoto, where a geisha’s fleeting silhouette whispered of ancient traditions.
In Osaka, the birthplace of Japanese street food, flavors told stories of culture and history. Japan revealed its contrasts: from modernity’s relentless pulse to the tranquil beauty of untouched shrines. Through my lens, I found a nation alive with tradition, nature, and the allure of discovery. — Anouk Sassen
